High Protein Low Carb Gluten and Dairy Free Bagels
February 28, 2025Hi guys, I’m going to make some high protein, low carb bagels today. These are also gluten and dairy free too.
I had to tweak all the recipes I found online a bit in order to make them free from my allergies.
I was surprised with the result as these were really good!
The recipe is pretty simple too,
Almond meal/flour bagel;
1 cup almond flour/meal
1/4 cup plain gluten free flour
1 egg + 1 egg for egg wash
1/3 cup Soya Yogurt
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp mixed herbs
1/8 tsp salt
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp whole husk
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
Sesame seeds topping.
I mixed all the ingredients together, shaped it into a ball, and then cut it into 6 small balls.
I don’t have a doughnut mould so I shaped them with my hands.
They turned out looking really good! I wet my hands with some olive oil as it made it easier to shape them.
I then baked them in the oven for about 20 minutes.
The time depends on the size and setting of the oven though so keep an eye on them.
20-25 minutes should probably do though.
These are so good for breakfast or a light lunch.
